Sky Sports are reporting that Maurizio Sarri’s representatives are in London to finalise his move to Chelsea.
Antonio Conte’s time as Chelsea manager may finally be coming to an end. He’s been doomed for a while now, we’ve just been awaiting official confirmation.
Sarri appears poised to replace his compatriot. We could see announcement take place later this week if recent reports are anything to go by.
Sky Sports believe that Chelsea have refused to comment on rumours that they’re set to pay Napoli £4.4M to release Sarri from his Napoli contract.
Either way, his entourage are thought to be in the English capital to cross the i’s and dot the t’s on their clients move to Stamford Bridge.
The report cites claims in Italy that Gianfranco Zola is set to join Sarri as assistant manager. We hope that the information is accurate, that would be great to see.
